Possession/SSOW Planner – Midlands – £25 – 40,000 PA + Benefits
PMD Recruitment Solutions are looking for a Possession Planner to join a clients growing team based in the Midlands. They need a Planner that can establish and plan the safest means of access to the railway for the survey teams and to arrange, book and ensure all safe access including attendance at pre-possession meetings.
You will need to prepare safety documentation in accordance with the safest method of working and contractual requirements and to liaise with the planning manager in the update of contractual programmes.
Main Duties
- Responsible for Railway Interface Planning
- Railway Interface Planner
- Organise and plan track access by the safest means possible
- Be operationally responsible for all entries into PPS
- Liaise with and request all Line Blockages from the GZAC
- Prepare all WPP, SSOW and TBS for Survey Director approval
- Attend and represent the business at all pre-possession planning meetings
- Organise safety critical personnel as required
- Carry out site safety tours as required
- Provide regular updates on possession planning activity to the Survey Director
Technical Skills
- Be competent in the use of Network Rail Possession Planning System
- Have a detailed understanding of safe methods of working and best practice on the railway infrastructure
- Be competent in the use of GZAM system
- Be competent in the preparation of all safety critical paperwork including WPP, SSOW and TBS
- Be a good organiser of people
- Possess a good understanding of safety critical competencies and responsibilities
