Due to successful growth and strong long-term demand for our services, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced M&E engineer to join our team in Wrexham, assisting with the delivery of a key framework with our client Welsh Water.

Job Description As a result of successful growth and strong long-term demand for our services, the client is pleased to advertise an opportunity for a Lead M&E Engineer to cover the North Wales area based out of our office in Wrexham. The client is looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic individual to manage an established team of professional M&E engineers in the North Wales area.

The role involves providing guidance and support to the M&E Design and Commissioning Engineers whilst establishing ways of working, standardisation and best practice.
Reporting directly to the M&E Manager, the Lead M&E Engineer is responsible for the following:
•             Managing the team of M&E Engineers and allocating work
•             Providing M&E design support to project leaders when required
•             Project leading M&E schemes when required
•             Providing support to the Contract Managers to manage all M&E aspects of contract programmes
•             Supporting the project team in co-ordinating the M&E aspects of projects, including management of subcontract activities

Candidate Specification The ideal candidate will be a time served Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with site experience and basic IT skills. You will be confident in your ability to manage a team and deal with contract programmes and subcontractors and it is essential that you are a team player with excellent communication skills and a high level of Health & Safety awareness.

You will also possess the ability to work independently, be comfortable with the design and construction stages of a project and have experience in the production and reviewing of Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Educated to a minimum of HNC/HND or Degree level in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and able to demonstrate a high level of technical competence, you may already have or will be working towards a professional qualification with the IET or IMechE.

The following attributes are desirable for this role but are not essential:
•             Experience in dealing with Clients and 3rd parties
•             Commercial awareness
•             CSCS Card
•             SMSTS or SSSTS qualified
•             Knowledge of Lotus Notes
In addition you will need a full driving licence and the enthusiasm and positive attitude required to fit into our team.
