Reporting to the Commercial Director as a Senior Quantity Surveyor you’ll be responsible for financial administration of allocated projects from start to completion, preparation of cash flow forecasts and cost projection, procurement of Sub Contractors, attendance at site meetings and to ensure each project is delivered on time and within budget. You’ll also support and mentor junior staff within the QS team.
To be considered for a Senior Quantity Surveyor role you MUST have the following experience, skills, and attributes;
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Diligent and ambitious
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
- Accurately monitoring and reporting on project cost activity
- Ensuring that the project target margin and cash flow is maintained and bettered
- Preparing Sub Contract works packages, reviewing Sub Contract works quotations for compliance, quality and best value
- Raising Sub Contract works orders / contracts
- Full UK driving licence
