OLE Design Engineer(s) – Rail – York

OLE Design Engineer(s) – Rail – York – All levels – £24-45,000 PA plus benefits

PMD Recruitment Solutions are looking for OLE Design Engineers from Graduate to Senior to join a client based in York. They are looking to increase their team due to the increase in workload and projects won.

Responsibilities

  • You will work within a team of engineers and technicians working on multi-disciplinary railway projects.
  • You will be responsible for undertaking work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and that it is managed to programme and budget.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • You will hold a Degree in an Electrical/Mechanical discipline.

Essential Criteria

  • Be proficient in the use of Microstation cad system.
  • Be able to use word and excel spreadsheets.

Desirable Criteria

  • You will hold a Degree and be qualified to Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) with an experience of OLE engineering design /consultancy.
  • An understanding in the use of Auto Cad, be proficient in the use of word & excel spreadsheets.

  • Able to act with initiative and to take responsibility.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work under supervision and within a team.

  • Able to learn about new subjects quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to express ideas, concerns, solutions, suggestions in written or oral form in such a way as to be understood by those with or without a technical background.
  • Positive with a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Willing to work with Clients and their project teams.
  • Identify and input to activities in support of the wider business objectives that may draw upon skills in addition to those outlined above.
  • Be proactive in self-development to acquire the relevant experience to progress to Design Engineer status.
